About This Spot
Stepping into Don’s Seafood & Chicken House feels like settling into a well-loved local retreat where the pace gently slows and familiar comforts take center stage. Nestled along Ocean Highway in Pocomoke City, this spot offers a warm embrace—the kind of place where conversation flows easily over shared plates and the occasional clink from the bar adds a lively hum to the background.
The atmosphere is unpretentious yet inviting, a mix of hearty aromas and the comforting sounds of a neighborhood gathering place. It’s not about trends or formalities, but about honest, satisfying moments that linger in memory.
Here, the menu is a reflection of coastal and southern roots woven together. From succulent seafood dishes brimming with fresh Maryland crab to tender, perfectly crisped rotisserie chicken with its unmistakable golden skin, the flavors speak to tradition with a touch of homey flair. The sides and starters—like hush puppies and fresh salads—feel like they were made with a neighbor's recipe in mind: comforting and thoughtfully done.
The drink offerings extend that sense of local personality, with inventive takes on classics that suit the relaxed vibe of the place. Whether it's a carefully crafted Bloody Mary or a light, bright cocktail to complement savory seafood, the beverages round out the experience without overshadowing the main event.
More than just a place to eat, Don’s welcomes folks from near and far who find something familiar in its honest, welcoming spirit. It’s a lively but laid-back refuge where a good meal becomes a simple celebration of community and comfort, making it a spot to revisit whenever the road leads back to this corner of Maryland’s shore.

Best fried Rotisserie chicken ( yes fried with no additional breading, just crispy skin) Hush puppies on point as well as the green beans, greens and cuke salad sides. We aren’t from the area and stopped in for seafood based on reviews but decided to go with the chicken and we will now go out of our when anytime we are in the area. ( area range is 2 hour drive ,lol) Looks as though they have a great happy hour and the dessert case shows off some serious sweets. We took the photos after we ate so they are close ups of our leftovers sorry! Definitely go out of your way to try Dons.

We came about this place unexpectedly. We were exploring Snow Hill + Pocomoke City and got lost. Husband got the meatloaf, cucumber salad, I go the steak+cake. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted great. We ate at the bar + the bartender rocked the service. He was fabulous.

First time in, no wait time as it was early afternoon. Great choices on the menu, I had the Fish&Chips and my honey had a Small Regular Salad with Mini Crabcake Appetizer, all were good. Fish was Flounder so the two pieces were small but good. Hush Puppies were delicious!! Would definitely stop again…

We went here for a quick lunch before heading back to VA and it wasn't too bad. The lighting could have used a little improvement since it was 11:30 in the morning. We had the fried oysters and the grilled jerk chicken for the appetizers. The jerk chicken was not spicy at all. There was some seasoning and the flavor was not too bad but I was expecting to get a spicy taste and it just fell flat in that area. It would have been good with a bbq sauce since it was grilled but it came with a honey mustard. For the meal we had shrimp and fried flounder. Portion size was good and the food was good. The coleslaw was a little sweet but overall, it was good. The only reason why I didn't do 5 stars is because the atmosphere was a little lack luster, the drinks were very sweet, and the garnish on the plates was a little out dated to me. The food was good and the service was good too. There was no wait so that was also a good thing. I would like to go back and try some other things on the menu.

went here on a Tuesday night while it was pouring rain outside, so the place was a little quiet. Our waitress was kind and friendly, which made the experience even nicer. The crab cake appetizer is a must — you can really see and taste the crab . I ordered the tomato soup and the broiled jumbo shrimp, and I loved both! The shrimp were well-seasoned and delicious, and the tomato soup had hearty chunks of tomato that made it feel homemade. Overall, it was a well-balanced dinner — flavorful, not too heavy, and truly satisfying.

We got sat in the corner booth and the decorations were nice and the restaurant was clean. Our waitress was lovely. Our food came out quickly and warm. I ordered the overloaded brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie was warm and decadent and the presentation was beautiful.
